Rollbrett Salzburg and easygoinc. present The High Black Corner Jam 2017

The High Black Corner Jam by easygoinc. longboards

It has been pretty quiet around the boys and girls from Rollbrett Salzburg. Who is Rollbrett Salzburg you ask? Seriously?

If you have been to at least one of many BigMountainSkate events, you know the drinking team from Austria and Bavaria and their skateboarding problem. So I guess you probably had at least a beer with one of them.

Other than that, you most likely remember the event they host – The High Black Corner Jam – a downhill skateboard slopestyle festival, where everything is just about fun. An extraordinary event that mixes longboarding and skateboarding into one big thing.

Here is a video by Bros before Pros to give you a better picture.

Now guess what, this article is just about that – the High Black Corner Jam 2017 presented by easygoinc. longboards in the middle of the beautiful Bavarian Alps.

This year’s event in Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden is not your usual season opener, but planned right before KnK Longboard Camp (week #1), to loosen your legs if you have a long drive to Slovenia. The event is most likely on everyone’s travel route.

For the Rollbrett Salzburg crew, the event from the 21st to 23rd of July is just about coming together, hanging around, have a few beers, skating a few ramps, doing a few slides and playing some mini games.

It is also a great opportunity to try something new, like skate with 4 different types of scrubbies, a board without grip, a beer bench and much more craziness while battling for some neat sponsor prizes while playing mini games.

The registration for this year’s event is already open with a registration fee of 50 €, which includes three days of skate fun including camping. Click here to register.

The beer is cheap, the music is good (yes, there will also be a live band) and Rollbrett Salzburg will also offer breakfast and dinner, which is not included in the registration free.

See you on the hill and on the ramps!

I AM LOSER – A downhill skateboarding movie by easygoinc.

easygoinc. presents: I Am Loser

Easygoinc. Longboards proudly present their first downhill skateboarding movie “I Am Loser” filmed on the mountain Loser in the heart of the Austrian Alps.

Don’t let the title fool you, it’s actually a word game referring to becoming one with this magnificent mountain, its surroundings and experiencing all thing downhill skateboarding has to offer.

Located in Souther Austria, mount Loser’s windy alpine road has a total elevation drop of 405 meters and an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. With a steepest grade of around 19% the crew not only enjoyed a scenic and breathtaking ride, but also fast downhill runs on one of Austria’s most notorious tracks.

Through this project easygoinc. riders Mirko  Paoloni, Gregor Nußbaummüller, Laura Neubauer and Maximilian Gschaider shared their longboarding lifestyle and reaped its rewards with majestic nature, fun pack runs and getting together by a campfire after a great day of skating.

All of the riders featured in the video skated the easygoinc. Downhilla longboard which is available in three different variations, the Downhilla Classic, Downhilla BMS and Downhilla Mini.

Mirko’s preferred variation is the Downhill BMS with a kicktail for freeride and freestyle tricks, Laura’s pick was the Downhilla Mini as it’s designed for petite skaters or those with smaller feet, while Maximilian and Gregor chose the Downhilla Classic for fast downhill descents.

Easygoinc. Longboards Downhilla – New Road, New Competition with Nussi

New Road, New Competition with Nussi featuring Easygoinc. Downhilla

You might have already met Gregor “Nussi” Nussbaummüller somewhere on a hill or read about him in one of our recent posts. That dude rocks, both on and off the track. Today he dropped in with another sick video, but this time he’s the one being in front of a lens. The run was filmed by Sebastian Gschaider.

Possible new events by Rollbrett Salzburg

Europe is usually fully packed with awesome events all summer long and it seams like Rollbrett Salzburg might throw additional one or two as well in 2016, in Salzburg’s surroundings in Austria. One of the candidates for a venue is exactly that challenging fast and techy track from the video you just watched. I’m definitely looking forward to get some of it. Keep us in the loop, Nussi!

For me, the cleanest way to get down on roads like these is to try them Stand up! It´s not always the easiest way and sometimes there are a few sketchy moments, but it´s funny and I think it´s important to learn how to handle these situations to improve your skills and get on a higher level! ~ Nussi

The guys over at Rollbrett Salzburg are super stoked about it and so are we. Bring it on!

Easygoinc. Longboards – Downhilla

Nussi’s repping Easygoinc. Longboards, a relatively young longboard making company from Austria which has been on a rise lately. They have a solid team as well. Beside Nussi, Jan Winkler, Mirko Paoloni and Michael Joschenak are there to help them develop, shred and spread the stoke.

Responsible for the production and marketing, Ali, David and Martin started with the idea of building longboards in 2012. “The three free spirits”, as they like to call them self, are dedicated to deliver a high-quality longboards with attention to details at affordable prices.

They’re using some kind of basalt fabric of volcanic origin in their boards to deliver even better strength than with a conventional fibreglass while still providing a desired amount of flexibility. Don’t know what kind of sorcery that is, but it must be working as so far everyone had only good stuff to say about their longboards.

Nussi’s favorite board of choice is the Easygoinc. Downhilla a topmount board designed for speed and stability. It features a radial 8mm drop and flared wheel-wells for maximum wheel allowance and that extra foot lock we all love and need. This 92cm and 25cm wide beauty allows for 9 wheelbase options, from 67.5cm to 71.5cm.

Downhilla, the name of the board explains what it stands for, we put our best Ideas together and designed a directional shape with a smooth radial drop of 8mm. The perfect mix of a mellow concave, a twin-tip rocker and wheel flares at the right position gives your feet a unique feeling. I ride it with Bear Kodiak trucks and Boss Hawgs Wheels, in my opinion a awesome Freeride Setup! ~ Gregor “Nussi” Nussbaummüller

Of course, you can order a deck only, but if you are down for getting a complete, you’ll be happy to know that in their shop they offer Caliber or Bear trucks and Hawgs or Blood Orange wheels as well.

Check out their website for more info and some other awesome boards in their range or follow them on Facbook. There’s something for everyone.
